Hey hey HEY. Fat Mullaney here. If you're looking to spice up your Saturday afternoon I'll be piping at Renner's Bar in the Multnomah Village tomorrow from about 4-5pm. And, look for me through your sniper rifle's scope- I'll also be playing on the roof at 7 IN THE AM. The idea is to startle you awake and stress you out so you'll want to relax and have a beer later.
It's a cozy bar so prepare to either 1) turn your hearing aid's all the way down (you won't need them), or 2) ask your doctor if hearing aid's might be right for you!
"What you say!?"
"I said you can't have any pudding until you've FINISHED YER MEAT!!"
Side effects may include having a good time, drinking more than you normally do, and terribly singing Irish folk songs with the bearded stranger sitting next to you.
A rough practice chanter preview of the Game of Thrones Theme cover Chris Bollinger and I wrote- full bagpipe version with accompanying video coming soon!
Completely unrelated: Does anyone have a blonde wig and maybe a few swords that I can borrow...?
Because facebook and some other sites don't accept straight audio files I was forced to make an awful, boring slide show of some recent Scotland pics n' stuff. SO ENJOY THAT. Also, just to reiterate, this is a rough, ROUGH practice chanter version that fully shows off all the strange sounds my chanter likes to make when I'm trying to play...
Original theme composed by Ramin Djawadi, then covered by every musician in the entire world.
Here's the music as well (1sts and 2nds) in pdf and bww format. Feel free to arrange/adapt as you like. My only requests are that you 1) respect our composition and credit our names in the top right, and 2) send me a video or recording of your arrangement when it's ready- I'd love to hear it!

Over the years I've found myself piping in some pretty bizarre locations, but this one really was the "icing" on the cake. *cymbal crashes to the floor* I'm sorry, I couldn't help it with Christmas (Halloween?) right around the corner!
As part of a Hendricks Gin event, myself and famous accidental comedian Ted McKnight piped/drummed a horde of day drinking employees out onto the ice, where they were immediately warned by one of the curling coaches: "DO YOUR BEST NOT TO HIT YOUR HEADS ON THE ICE!"
I r sMarTs now after this event! The Hendricks Gin distillery located in Scotland (and owned by Glenfiddich) is apparently less than one mile away from a little island that supposedly provides 99% of the worlds curling stones, and traditionally competitors were indeed marched out onto the ice by a bagpiper. Who knew!? Definitely not me. Think of all the curling gigs I could have played in the last 14 years...
Anyways, the acoustics were great out there on the ice. If it wasn't a 32 degree environment it would actually be a great practice location! THIS JUST IN! Ancient bagpiper found frozen in ice - suspected to be at least 28 years old. Experts say this may provide answers to how bored ancient society must have been.
Special thanks to Mark from Hendricks Gin, who agrees that day drinking, a hazardous environment, and the sound of the bagpipe is a match made in heaven.
